Richard Otto Burde
(1912 - 1998)
Burde was born in Frankfurt Germany in 1912. He received his training from the Academy of Fine Arts in Dresden. In 1953 he moved to Salt Lake City. There, he won first place awards for his works exhibited at the State Capitol and the State Fair. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints History Museum holds many of his religious paintings. He passed away on June 4 of 1998 at the age of 86.
