Sam Milton Collett is a gifted figure drawer and painter. A member of the Salt Lake Art Center faculty for a number of years during the 1970s and 1980s, Collett earned a B.A. from Westminster College before becoming one of Alvin Gittin's most talented students at the University of Utah. In the mid-1990's, Collett exhibited some of his fine figure work in a local library, and is an active painter in Salt Lake City today (1997).
