Wilson Ong
(Hayward, California, 1958 - )

Wilson Ong was born November 8, 1958 in Hayward, California. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Drawing at Brigham Young University in 1982. He then attended New York City’s Art Students’ League in 1983, where he studied with nationally renowned figurative artists Ted Seth Jacobs and Harvey Dinnerstein. He has sold his work professionally as an artist and illustrator since 1983, and worked as an art educator in Utah 1991-2004. He was represented by Shannon and Associates as an illustrator from 2005-2017. Ong has exhibited work in the Art Students’ League, New York, NY; Cottage Gallery, Carmel, CA; O’Brien’s Art Emporium, Scotsdale, AZ; Salt Lake City Art Center, Salt Lake City, UT; Springville Museum of Art, Springville, UT; Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, Ohio; Francesca Fine Art, Lexington, MA, Lincoln Street Center for the Arts, Rockland, ME; Westend Gallery, Corning, NY, Salmagundi Club, NYC, NY. He has artwork in the collections of The Museum of Church History and Art, Salt Lake City, UT; Brigham Young University, Provo, UT; Weber State University, Ogden, UT; Southern Virginia University, Buena Vista, VA; America First Credit Union, North Ogden, UT; the History Channel, NYC, NY; Dr. Stephen Block, Lodi, CA; and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Cacciapaglia, Rye, NY.
