George Thompson Pritchard migrated from New Zealand to the United States. His work is primarily of painted seascapes and landscapes. He became a teacher after settling in California.
Jane Wilcox was the name that he used for his still lives and florals whist producing paintings for the New York art houses, affiliated with department store sellers. He was known to sit in the basement of his house with the Victrola playing in the background blasting music, sitting in front of his easels and painting colorful figures.
