(1913 - 1996)

Evdokiya Grigorevna Usikova was a Ukrainian Soviet artist and graphic artist. Member of the USSR Academy of Arts. Evdokia Grigorievna Usikova was born on December 25, 1913 in the village of. Yankovtsy (Kharkov region). In 1940 she graduated from the Kiev Art Institute, where she studied at A. Shovkunenko. In July 1944, Usikova debuted at the Exhibition of Works of Artists of the Union Republics, opened in Moscow, at the State Museum of Oriental Cultures. She was an active participant in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Usikova was primarily a socialist realist throughout her career often painting large genre scenes depicting peasant life in the country and worked in the field of easel painting. Her works are in the permanent collection of both the Kiev Art Museum and the Kharkov Art Museum.
