Although Matt Larson was born in Page, Arizona, he spent the majority of his youth growing up in Orange County, California. Larson drummed up a passion for art at a young age. Many of his days were occupied with listening to music while drawing and expressing himself through art. Larson’s formal artistic training came later as he received his BFA from University of Utah and MFA through Utah State University. He also traveled to Sweden where he studied drawing at the Florence Academy of art. Larson uses his art as a gateway to evocative and emotional styles of expression.
