Mark William Robison

(1927 - )

A native of Topeka, Kansas, Mark Robison moved to Chicago in 1971, where he graduated from high school. Robison attended Brigham Young University after joining the LDS Church in 1977. He studied Illustration and Design under James Christensen. As Robison has said, “Although I am not a prodigious artist, I love to paint. My struggle with color blindness (red—green) has been a constant source of frustration, but I feel I’ve become a better artist because of that struggle…To be able to produce artwork by traditional means as well as electronic media (Macintosh) has been a wonderfully rewarding experience…My philosophy of painting is simple: I paint what I like.”
