Fitch Burt Fulton

(Beatrice, Nebraska, 1879 - 1955, Glendale, CA)

Fitch Burt Fulton was born in Nebraska in 1879. He studied at the Art Students League of New York City and at the Art Institute of Chicago. He did set designs for the theatrical company in Denver before moving in San Francisco in 1913. He designed the Western Pacific and Rio Grande Railroad exhibit for the Panama Pacific International Exposition. He moved to Los Angeles in 1916, and continued as a scene painter, working for Fox Studios and others. His oil paintings included scenes of Southern California and The Sierra Nevada’s. He passed away in California in 1955.
