Jeffrey Hein is an oil painter, primarily known for figurative female subjects, but also religious subjects influenced by his membership to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He grew up in New York City and showed talent from an early age. However, he did not pursue art as a child as he had a severe lack of familial encouragement and cultural influences. He was married and was living in Utah, recovering from testicular cancer before pursuing painting. Hein was then away from the family negativity that surrounded artists. He has since started gaining reputation around Utah as a figure and religious painter.
