Nikolai Borisovich Terpsikhorov
(1890 - 1960)
Terpsikhorov was born in St. Petersburg in 1890. He studied art in Moscow at the Moscow Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture (now the Surikov Institute of Art). Terpsikhorov went on to fight for the Red Army in 1917 and was an active member of the Association of the Revolutionary Artists of Russia (AHHR) later in his life. He was known for his contemporary realism landscape and genre paintings.
