Yuri Alekseevich Zvezdkin

(1928 - 1994)

Yuri Zvezdkin ( 1928, Moscow) graduated from Moscow Intermediary Art School in 1948 and went on to study at the Repin Institute until 1951. After school, he entered the Surikov Institute where he would study until 1954. Zvezdkin traveled around Russia painting lyrical landscapes, but primarily worked in the city of Novosibirsk. His art style was inspired by the Abstract Expressionism art style that dominated the 1950s. He was a member of the Union artists of the USSR. He died in Moscow in 1994.
