Vasili (Vasily) Federovich Kondratyuk is a Soviet artist of decorative and ceramic arts. He was born on September 15, 1926 in what is now the Chernigov region. He graduated from the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative arts in 1965. He worked in the pottery industry, holding the position of head of shop at the Lvov Experimental Ceramic and Sculpture Factory. Kondratyuk participated in all-Ukrainian and all-Union exhibitions. His work is often described as generalizations and geometrization of forms, with expressive dynamic movements, incorporating line, shape, silhouette and often employing technological effects.
