Roland Lee
(Southern California, 1949 - )
Roland Lee was born in southern California. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Art in 1971. He initially didn't contemplate a career as an artist but rather a designer and illustrator. However, after relocating to St. George, he became an art studio owner and teacher at Dixie State College. Roland L. Lee of Dammeron Valley, Washington County, Utah, is an important realist western landscape and rustic genre specialist in the transparent-watercolor medium. Lee is known internationally for his wonderful watercolors of Southern Utah's "red rock" country and other scenes from across the United States and even Europe.
