Peggy Hanson Anderson

(Salt Lake City, Utah, 1939 - 2020, Sandy, Utah)

Peggy Hansen Anderson, of West Jordan, Utah, was a Salt Lake City area painter. She earned a B.S. from the University of Utah and was a high school art teacher in the Jordan and Granite School Districts. Anderson also received many awards for her paintings. For example, the Utah Watercolor Society honored her with "awards of merit" in 1980, 1984, and 1987, and her work was included in the International Exhibition to Taiwan, China, sponsored by the Salt Lake Art Center in 1985. Anderson's paintings are carefully designed, with a hard edge as a prime ingredient. The Springville Museum of Art purchased her watercolor Moving Out from its 73rd Annual Spring Salon.
