From SMA website: David Harold Lemon was born in San Diego in 1945. He grew up listening to stories of his grandparent's childhooods in the Old West. These stories inspired his passion for creating pieces that represent the free spirited men, women, and animals of that time. Lemon is a noted sculptor of realist western cowboy subjects in bronze. He has also worked in Utah County at Wasatch Bronzeworks in Lehi. Lemon has won many awards for his sculptures and has one-man shows across the United States. When speaking about his work, David Lemon said, "I try to create something that looks like it's going to walk right off the stand."
