Irene Warren

(1957 - )

Irene Warren, of Sweet Water, Arizona, and Bluff, Utah, is a Navajo artist who learned to weave rugs from family members when she was very young. She specializes in pictorial rugs, her work often depicting sheep, cattle, and other images from the Navajo livestock-raising culture. She was featured in the Underneath the Wester Skies exhibition held by the Utah Arts Council at teh Chase Home in Salt Lake City's Liberty Park (1995), and is represented in the State Folk Art Collection. She is the wife of Homer J. Warren (q.v.). (b. May 7)
