Oleg Leonidovich Lomakin

Oleg Leonidovich Lomakin was born in August 29, 1924 in the town of Krasny Kholm, USSR. After the death of his father, he and his family moved to Leningrad. From 1927-1939 Lomakin studied in Art Studio at the Leningrad Palace of Young Pioneers. In 1940 he entered the Leningrad Secondary Art School at the All-Russian Academy of Fine Arts.
He continued his education, graduating in 1952 from the Repin Institute of Arts. He participated in many art exhibitions. He painted portraits, genre and historical paintings, still lives, landscapes, and other various sketches. The portrait became his more prominent genre. He continued to create works, exhibit shows and receive awards until his death in 2010.
