John Bailey Mortensen, a Utah native and a fine Salt Lake County and Wilson, Wyoming-based sculptor, decided in 1985 to devote his full-time energies to his art after fifteen successful years as a banking executive. Holding a B.A. in economics from the University of Utah with a minor in graphic design, he is today known for creations in bronze that radiate life through structure, pose, and a surface treatment that is one with each work's physical and spiritual essence.
