Born in Nottingham, England, this artist moved to Utah in 1969. Having first settled in Salt Lake City , she then became an Orem resident. A student at Nottingham College of Art and later a teacher there as well, Watkins became an illustrator and easel painter whose work may be seen in various publications and in exhibitions here in America as well as in England. This fine and sensitive painter has shown her creations under the auspices of the Royal Society of Artists, the Deseret News, the Springville Museum of Art, and so on. Her specialties were in oil and watercolor. She passed away peacefully in 1998. (b. January 18)
