Norma Shurtliff Forsberg

(1920 - 2000)

Norma Shurtliff Forsberg, of Bountiful, Utah, is an artist who grew up in Utah to become a student at the University of Utah, as well as the Salt Lake and Bountiful-Davis Art Centers. This gifted painter of the Utah landscape (in oil, watercolor, acrylic, and other media) is particularly fine as the creator of handsome pastoral designs. Her works are frequently on view in juried exhibitions in Utah and elsewhere, and she is represented in numerous public and private collections. A member of the Intermountain Society of Artists, Forsberg is the daughter of another talented Utah artist, Wilford H. ("Hack") Shurtliff (q.v.). Forsberg has also done some interesting work of a more modernist kind, an example juried in the 1996 Utah Arts Council statewide exhibition at the Springville Museum of Art.
