John Brent Jarvis of American Fork, Lehi, and Pleasant Grove, Utah, is an excellent handler of watercolor, gouache, and oil in the depiction of fine western landscape and figure scenes. He has won many awards for such work at juried exhibitions throughout this area and elsewhere. Jarvis studied at Snow College in Ephraim (A.S., 1965), Utah State University with a bachelors in fishery and biology (B.S., 1971), and Brigham Young University. His career was so successful; he did not graduate from Brigham Young University.
