Margaret Taylor Heywood

(Provo, UT, 1911 - 2004, Salt Lake City, UT)

This excellent watercolor painter was a native of Provo, later moving to Salt Lake City, Utah. A graduate of Brigham Young University (1936), she became an English teacher, first in Garfield County and then later in Davis County schools, until her retirement in 1975. Having studied stained-glass techniques at the University of Utah, today she was an active exhibitor at the Eccles Center in Ogden, Kimball Art Center in Park City, the Bountiful-Davis Art Center, and the Springville Museum of Art. Heywood also belonged to the Intermountain Society of Artists
