Miriam Brooks Jenkins of Salt Lake City, Utah, was a forceful watercolorist of landscape and still-life subjects. She made a name for herself in California after beginnings in Utah, including training with J.T. Harwood. In the late 1920s, Mrs. Jenkins's home (and possibly a studio) was located on Ouray Avenue in Salt Lake City. She was also an active exhibitor of her work during the 1930s and into the 1940s.
