Antoinette Rhett
Antoinette Rhett was born in Baltimore, Maryland. Most of her art career was spent in Charleston, South Carolina, where she focused on scenes of the town and nature scenes of things such as tree limbs, flowers, and butterflies. She was a founding member of the Charleston Etchers' Club and a regular attendee of the Charleston Sketch Club. Her etchings show the influence of the Japanese art style in their design and detail but deviate with her original coloring methods. Most of Rhett's prints are small and on thin paper, adding an element of delicacy to her work.
