Doyle Dewis Shaw

(1947 - )

Doyle Dewis Shaw of Boise, Idaho, and Springville and Payson, Utah, (among other stops), is an excellent painter (oil and transparent-watercolor techniques) and sculptor. Also a fine teacher (Brigham Young University and the University of Utah), he attended the U of U in the 1970s but had developed much of what constitutes his mature style before that time. Shaw also studied at Weber State College (WSU) and the San Francisco Institute of Art. A quality talent as a realist in landscape, figure, and portrait depictions, Doyle Shaw has been a very consistent performer in local exhibitions (the Springville April Salon, etc.) throughout the last three decades. The artist's work was handled by The Stable Gallery in Salt Lake City during the 1970s and 1980s.
