Whittle (born on March 26), of Provo and Fairview, Utah, was a former Oxford University student; a devotee of the medieval period, the Brigham Young University football program, and world peace. He was a poet and satirical writer, a sculptor, oil painter, draftsman, and symbolist artist interested in visionary-spiritualist themes. Died July 27 2011 in his home in Santa Fe New Mexico after a six year struggle with brain cancer.
