Erla Palmer Young, born October 29 of 1917, was of Logan and Midway, Utah. She studied at the Critchner Art Academy in Washington D.C.. She was a fashion illustrator and the painter of academically realistic landscapes. She studied at the Art Center in Los Angeles and New York University and worked mostly in gouache and oil. She taught art and design classes at Brigham Young University, University of Utah, and in her private studios. She passed away in November of 2004.
