Fred J. Hunger

Frederick J Hunger was the only child of Frederick and Berniece Hunger. He graduated from Weber State University in Utah in 1977 with a major in Art. He then continued his education at El Institudo Allende of Universidad de Guanajuato and completed is Master’s in Fine Arts in 1978.
He married Joanne Hinze and had two children. They later divorced and he married Dean-Ellen Worthington. They were married for 49 years, much of which was spent in Ogden Utah. They were active members of their congregation at the First Presbyterian Church, Frederick serving multiple terms as an Elder and in other positions.
Fred’s career began with Aerojet General Corporation in Sacramento, later working for Eyring and Rockwell Corporations, retiring in 1997. He loved to create, contemplate and share art. He had numerous one man exhibits and participated in many others. He was an active member of Ogden’s area arts for many years. He taught at both Weber and Utah State Universities’. His artworks have been features in several books about Utah art, and one of his paintings was reviewed and Published in La Revue Modern in Paris, France.
