Kent Butler was born in Gunnison, Utah and has always loved drawing. His paintings reveal his interests in nature and the American West, although Kent paints a variety of subjects. He studied art at age 19 at the University of Utah. Then in Los Angeles, he studied at the Los Angeles Art Center College of Design. Kent has won numerous awards and his paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States. Kent's paintings stand out because of his attention to detail and unique use of color.
