Mikhail Vasilevich Akinshin
(Lomovo, Kursk, Russia, 1927 - 1982)
As a native of Kursk, Russia, Mikhail Vasilevich Akinshin had a traditional provincial Russian childhood. As a young artist, he studied at the Tashkent Art College until 1951 and the Kiev Art Institute in 1962. Akinshin remained active producing art in Zaporozhe, Ukraine. As much of his art depicted primarily landscapes, Akinshin's paintings followed the traditional Soviet impressionistic technique. Hepassed away in 1982.
