Elena Stepanova Kirichenko was a soviet painter. She was a member of the USSR Academy of Arts. She was born in Kiev, on July 19, 1937, to a family of painters. She worked in Kiev as a pro-active artist in the magazine “Soviet Woman” and “Pioneer”, and the publishing house “Soviet Writer.” Kirichenko taught at the art school in Kiev. She created landscapes, portraits, thematic paintings, and mosaic panels. She used techniques of tempera paintings. She passed away on December 13, 2003.
