Suzanne Margaret Tornquist of Salt Lake City, Utah, is an oil painter, transparent watercolorist, and draftsperson who specializes in the traditional figurative and illustrative genre. She has a passion for traveling with her husband and much of her art is inspired from the people she meets on these journeys. Though she calls herself a "self-taught artist" and an "ethnic genre painter," Tornquist attended the Salt Lake Community College and took lessons from Robert Rumel.
